How can we manage our water resources more effectively?
Mobilising People Towards Integrated Water Resources Management: A Guide to Community Action is designed to help government departments and organisations to mobilise people in sustainable development, allocation and monitoring of water resources. It aims to make community mobilisation for IWRM central, creates more capacity and networks for community members, and fosters better IWRM facilitation among government and public utilities.
The first part of the guide explains IWRM theory based on international perspectives, research and case studies from Pacific Island countries. The second part outlines a step-by-step approach to assist in the development and implementation of IWRM projects through community mobilisation, which can be changed and adapted to particular circumstances.
