How is population growth a threat to sustainable livelihoods and environmental health?
This manual is a guide for facilitators working in NGOs, community groups and schools on issues of sustainability and environmentalism. In particular, it seeks to address the lack of attention paid to the environmental effects of population growth; instead, most advocacy work to date has focused on things like logging and water scarcity.
The guide promotes the idea of the learning circle, where community members hold regular discussion groups. It covers information on how to facilitate, how to run sessions, including activity ideas, and how to mobilise communities to take action.
