Nature-based agriculture plays a crucial role in Vanuatu due to its unique geographical features, cultural heritage, and vulnerability to climate change. Strengthening Natured-Based Agriculture in Vanuatu is designed to build local socioeconomic resilience in North and Central Efate and on the island of Gaua in Torba Province.

This will be done through enhanced food security and improved land management and will target the most vulnerable groups in the local economy. The project will deliver benefits to 25,000 people by diversifying and expanding agricultural economies to include carbon offset income and niche product value chain development. This project has been made possible with the support of the European Union and will run for 30 months from 2023 to 2025.
