How can we improve good governance and leadership in communities?
This guide helps Fijian community leaders, community members and trainers mobilise community action to improve good governance and leadership in communities. Using Learning Circles, the participants in workshops provide the content for learning from their own views, experiences, ideas and skills, which form the basis of decision making and planning for good governance.
The Governing Communities Guide explains what good governance is and how it can improve communities by encouraging respect, cooperation and accountability. ‘Snapshots’ of communities provide examples of good governance while activities provide stimulation for thinking about good governance and how communities can identify issues affecting them and how they can implement plans to address those issues.
This guide is available in Fijian and English.
