Women’s Savings Club Training Guide

How can we set up and run Women’s Savings Clubs in the Solomon Islands?

This guide helps facilitators and existing Women’s Savings Club members support other communities and groups of women in setting up and running Women’s Savings Clubs, which are particularly important in rural areas where financial services from commercial banks are not available.

The Women’s Savings Club Training Guide benefits from many years’ experience of setting up Women’s Savings Clubs. It provides information for wider community awareness of the Women’s Savings Club idea, step-by-step training on setting up a club and its basic activities, and contains strategies to manage risk and develop the club. The guide can be used by local government, NGOs, community groups and individuals. It is designed to be used with the Women’s Savings Clubs Poster.
