How can communities in the Maldives protect their drinking water?

The Community Water Toolkit helps community members, leaders and educators in the Maldives to develop the important relationship between ‘healthy water and healthy people’. Using cartoons and other illustrations, it explains why water monitoring is vital to health and includes instructions on using the H2S paper strip testing method, as well as documents for consistent and regular monitoring of water quality.

The Community Water Toolkit also contains activities that get community members thinking about the connections between behaviour and protecting clean drinking water, and fact sheets containing information on the water cycle in the Maldives, keeping well water and rainwater safe from contamination, and setting up safe sewerage systems.
