Rapid Assessment of Perceptions (RAP) Eritrea

How do school communities perceive issues in their environments?

The aim of this RAP was to understand the perceptions of local environmental issues amongst students, teaching staff and other stakeholders. It was undertaken using participatory and interactive methods, which are detailed in this resource.

This resource includes the main findings of the RAP. For instance, it found that school communities were most concerned with their immediate environments and with issues around clean water access. One of the major findings was that, given the opportunity, members of elementary school communities were committed to implementing improved environmental education programmes.
