Teachers Manual on Climate Change Education

How can we make climate change adaptation child-centered?

Vietnam is considered to be one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change. However, there is a lack of teaching resources designed to support education around climate change and to mobilise students to respond to its challenges.

This manual includes five modules, introducing the basics of weather and climate, what causes climate change, what its effects are, and how to respond to it. Each module contains activities, discussion points and homework tasks. There are also a series of fact sheets for teachers to use in classrooms, as well as fun handouts for students to revise their learning.

It was designed for a child-centered approach to climate change adaptation, and complements priorities in the national curriculum. It aims to support students in their development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to adapt to their changing climates.

Available in English and Vietnamese.
