How can we help young people advocate for peace?
This guide helps educators encourage young people aged 8-17 to prevent conflict, find creative solutions to conflict, and promote peace. It is also useful for youth leaders and other facilitators who want to develop children’s responsibility, attitudes and confidence in applying peacebuilding to their schools, families and communities.
Building Peace: An Educator’s Guide for the Pacific contains a professional development section that covers teaching methods and tips for growing children’s skills and opportunities for participation, which can be applied to any learning area. It also contains learning activities that encourage the development of skills and networks, and the creation and promotion of projects that contribute practically to peacebuilding.
